چکیده
Establishing epigenetic signature to improve the accuracy of survival prediction and optimize therapeutic strategies for laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC) by a genome-wide integrated analysis methylation transcriptome. LSCC DNA datasets RNA sequencing were acquired from Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA). MethylMix was applied detect methylation-driven genes (MDGs), which developed an signature. The predictive clinical value evaluated receiver operating characteristic decision curve analysis, compared with tumor-node-metastasis (TNM) stage system. In addition, prognostic validated external Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database. According five MDGs signature, candidate small molecules screen out CMap A total 88 identified, (MAGEB2, SUSD1, ZNF382, ZNF418, ZNF732) chosen construct can effectively divide patients into high-risk low-risk group, area under (AUC) 0.8 (5-year overall [OS]) AUC 0.745 (3-year OS). Stratification affirmed that still significant statistical model in subsets different variables. Multivariate Cox regression indicated efficacy appears independent other clinicopathological characteristics. terms capacity usefulness, superior traditional TNM stage. confirmed cohorts GEO. Finally, matched 10 most as promising drugs reverse gene expression. An MDGs, identified integrating multidimensional genomic data, may offer novel research directions prospects individualized treatment LSCC.

Cyclin D1 Expression in Patients with Laryngeal Squamous Cell Carcinoma
Background & Objective: Laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC) is considered to be one of the most common cancers of the head and neck, accounting for roughly 90% of all malignant tumors of the larynx. To have a timely diagnosis for a better and practical therapy, molecular markers have to be investigated. The aim of this study was to determine the expression of Cyclin D1 (CD...
متن کاملEpigenetic Dysregulation in Laryngeal Squamous Cell Carcinoma
Laryngeal carcinoma is a common head and neck cancer with poor prognosis. Patients with laryngeal carcinoma usually present late leading to the reduced treatment efficacy and high rate of recurrence. Despite the advance in the use of molecular markers for monitoring human cancers in the past decades, there are still no reliable markers for use to screen laryngeal carcinoma and follow the patien...
متن کاملCorrelation of EGFR Expression with Survival Rate in Patients with Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma
Background and Aim: This study aimed to indicate the role of epidermal growth factor (EGF) in proliferation and growth of epithelial tissue and to determine the correlation be-tween the frequency of expression of EGF receptor (EGFR) by means of immunohistochemistry with survival rate in oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC). Materials and Methods: Thirty-eight cases of OSCC diagnosed by hemato...
متن کاملPredictors of Thyroid Gland Invasion in Laryngeal Squamous Cell Carcinoma
Introduction: Laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) can invade the thyroid gland leading to unnecessary thyroidectomies with subsequent hypothyroidism and hyperparathyroidism. Thus, clinicopathological variables should be defined in order to predict thyroid gland invasion preoperatively. Materials and Methods: We performed a retrospective analysis of 1,465 patients with laryngeal SCC referr...
